Rules of Conduct

This blog, Lebanon Democratic Blog, is not owned by or controlled by the Lebanon County Democratic Committee (LCDC). The Administrator is a member of LCDC and the blog supports the mission and goals of the Democratic Party at the national, state, and local levels. The Democratic National Committee, the Pennsylvania State Democratic Committee, or the Lebanon County Democratic Committee are not responsible for anything posted in this blog.

Conditions for Use of the Lebanon Democratic Blog

Anyone may read the contents of the Lebanon Democratic Blog. In order to write post or to comment on posts you must register for an account. The link to register is under Meta in the right hand column. You must select a user name and enter your email address. The email address is not made public. You will receive an email with your password. When you click the link in the email you can change the password under the Profile link in the upper right corner of the screen.

New users are registered as Subscribers. A Subscriber can comment on articles but cannot write posts. To be elevated to the role of an Author who can write posts you must fill in your actual name (first and last) in the profile. The first and last names must not be the same or the same as your user name. Use your real name. You will be known in the blog by your user name not your actual name.

Subscribers with phony names or email addresses in Russia will be deleted without notice by the Administrator. Users do not have to be registered as Democrats as long as they support the principles of the Democratic Party.

Standard of Behavior

The Lebanon Democratic Blog is owned by the Administrator. He alone controls the users and content of the blog.

This blog is to discuss political and social issues. Flame Wars will not be allowed. Posts which do not address issues but attack others will be deleted. If you are responding to something written by another person speak to what they said and their ideas or opinions not to the person. In most, if not all, situations the author’s race, gender, age, religion, or sexual orientation is not relevant.

The following types of content will not be allowed:

  • Pornography
  • Hate Speech and Images
  • Illegal Activities
